Taos Food Drive Seeks More Help.

TAOS The annual holiday food drive, a Christmas tradition for thousands of Taosenos, is in full swing and donations of foodstuffs and cash to buy turkeys and other perishable items are mounting up, according to one drive coordinator.

Taos Feeds Taos, a nonprofit organization that has spearheaded the holiday food drive for the past 15 years, is hoping this year to collect enough to provide a record 1,000 boxes for needy Taos County families.

Taos Feeds Taos President Roberto "Bobby" Gonzales said each food box contains some $75 worth of food, and the goal is to provide a family of four with several days worth of food, including all the items for a traditional Christmas dinner. …
