Student to Undergo Psychiatric Exam.

BERNALILLO A Rio Rancho High School student who was arrested in October for allegedly carrying a sawed-off shotgun in his car on school grounds has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Robert Sanchez, 19, of Rio Rancho, was arrested on charges of carrying a gun on school grounds on Oct. 18, according to a police report.

That day, Sanchez was beaten by two other students on school grounds after he allegedly threatened to shoot one of their brothers, the report says.

The two students allegedly involved in the beating incident, Gabrial Najar, 15, and Gilbert Montoya, 15, both of Rio Rancho, were each arrested Oct. …
