The contest for Albuquerque school board seats took on a quarrelsome tone Monday, even though the candidates aren't officially lined up.

The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce announced Monday a slate of four candidates for the seats in February's election, including Southeast Heights incumbent Mary Lee Martin.

But the contest for the Northeast Heights seems likely to generate the most heat. Incumbent Richard Toledo, who said he is thinking about whether to seek another term, said he didn't want the chamber's endorsement. …
