Christmas and Hanukkah seem to be growing seasonal markets in the recorded music business. Every year more and more artists are finding that albums are a convenient means to presenting their interpretations of holiday music.

Here are some of those albums:

*"A Christmas Different" (Slick Records, 625 Webber St., Santa Fe, N.M. 87501). This is a very special jazz Christmas CD from the City Different, Santa Fe. Richard Snider, who is the album's savvy producer and its hip bassist, recently retired as a school band director there. Snider has brought together musician-friends he's worked with over the years, different ones on different cuts among them guitarist-vocalist Antonio Mendoza, pianists Jack Manno, Bert Dalton, Pat Rhoads and the late, lamented Johnny Gilbert, who is endearing in his vocals on "The Christmas Song. …
