In the saga of Randy Dryer and the 2002 Winter Olympics, there are lessons for Albuquerque regarding its baseball-stadium issue.In some respects, those lessons come a bit late.

But, perhaps, not too late.

Dryer, a Salt Lake City attorney, has served for the past decade as chairman of the Utah Sports Authority a group organized to oversee the creation of venues for that city's Olympics bid.

What do Salt Lake City and the Olympics have to do with Albuquerque and its stadium issue? On the surface, not much. The differences, admittedly, outnumber the similarities.
