* Greg Glazner keeps own juices flowing while establishing creative writing program at College of Santa Fe

Poet Greg Glazner is the force behind the College of Santa Fe's Creative Writing program, which he founded in 1988. The program is one of only a few of its kind: an undergraduate writing program structured like a graduate program.

Growing up Baptist in a small farming community in Texas, Glazner never expected to become a poet and didn't discover poetry until he went to college. The books of Robert Frost and Wilfred Owen inspired him to begin his own work.

His family, upon learning of his ambitions, "wanted to be supportive, but it was like saying I wanted to be a sumo wrestler," he said. …
