It's called the Luxor, invented in and named after the Las Vegas, Nev., hotel at which the University of New Mexico's women's basketball team stayed during the 1998 Western Athletic conference tournament.

The Luxor was invented out of necessity 3-guard Sonya Bryant had suffered a leg injury prior to the tournament and had no backup. So, the Lobos went to a three-post offense.

The result was a four-game sweep for a championship and an NCAA berth.
