Harsh Snowstorm Brought Lessons.(Opinion)

EDITORIALS

It would be impossible to recognize individually all the people in the East Mountains and Estancia Valley, and elsewhere in New Mexico, who worked long and hard to help dig out from the recent snowstorm.

So many people helped their neighbors that, even if we knew about them all, we'd need a special supplement just to list them.

Nonetheless, we'd like to thank every one of them for their help, on behalf of all those who needed it most.

A few we have heard about:

* Paramedic Mike Neeley, who hiked a half-mile to the home of a man with a heart problem after Neeley's ambulance became stuck in the snow, then literally carried the man on his back for the return trip. …
