Incumbent Holds On At Mountainair School

Tuesday's school board elections brought two new faces to the Estancia board, a victorious incumbent in Mountainair and no surprises in Moriarty.

All results are unofficial.

In the Estancia Municipal School District, Lacy Daniel, a parent and community development coordinator for the town of Estancia, won the Position 1 seat over incumbent Ken Autry and contenders John Perea and Ronald A. Maes.

Randol D. Riley beat David C. Dean for the Position 2 school board seat in Estancia.

Both Daniel and Riley were elected to four-year terms. Riley won with 256 votes, and Daniel received 131 votes. …
