Nominations sought for N.M. service awards.

Nominations are being sought for the annual New Mexico Distinguished Public Service awards. The awards recognize outstanding contributions to public service and improvement of government statewide by both private citizens and government employees.

Awards are given in four categories: federal government and national laboratories, state government and universities, local and Indian government, and business and civic.

This year, another eight to 12 outstanding state public servants will be recognized at the annual banquet on May 18.

Gov. Gary Johnson will preside over the awards ceremony with Marlin Coffee, president and CEO of Oso Grande Technologies. …
