SALT LAKE CITY It's not called the Beehive State for nothing.

For years, the University of New Mexico men's basketball team got stung during its two-game trek through the Wasatch Valley. The trip got a little sweeter the past five years, but this season it appears the Lobos again might be swarmed heading into tonight's game at Utah.

During what amounted to Brigham Young's five-year hiatus from the college basketball world, UNM was able to salvage a split each time here. But the Lobos' 65-49 loss to BYU on Saturday leaves them needing to do something they haven't done since 1989 to pull out the split this time: beat the Utes at the Huntsman Center. …
