On the hunt for a way to lower your winter heating bill?
John Dobson cannot recommend a conversion to alternative energy for that. But provided you have the money to get started if you're searching for a way to light your home, keep the fridge cold, power up the home computer and generally run an average American household, Dobson believes solar power is a reliable answer with a dose of adventure.
He and his wife, Joan Dobson, own, operate and live at the Dobson House B&B in Arroyo Hondo, near Taos. Aside from propane for heat, it is run almost entirely on solar power.
