Argument Apparently Sparked by Sink Hair

A University of New Mexico football player who allegedly attacked a female roommate during an argument involving hair clogging a sink will be charged with misdemeanor battery, Albuquerque police reported Thursday.

Deairo Richardson, 21, is suspected of choking one of his roommates and hitting her head against a wall following the argument Wednesday, according to an Albuquerque Police Department report.

Richardson, a redshirt freshman from Flint, Mich., has been suspended indefinitely, UNM coach Rocky Long said.

Richardson will be charged with misdemeanor battery and summoned into Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, the report said. …
