Rams Learn as They Beat Mustangs.

The Rio Rancho Rams continue to play good basketball in the second half of the season because of lessons they learned in the first half.

Rio Rancho coach Rick Sleeter said as much after the Rams beat visiting West Mesa 53-46 in a District 1-5A boys game Thursday night.

"At the beginning of the season, we had all kinds of things happen to us in big games," Sleeter said. "Tonight, they learned from those lessons."

The Rams are now level with Valley at 3-1 for first place in district. Rio Rancho is 7-9 overall as it prepares for a road game at Cibola on Saturday night. The Rams are 3-0 at home in district, 0-1 on the road (at Valley). …
