Nobel peace laureate to meet with students.(Youth Express)

New Mexico youths involved in the national PeaceJam program will meet and learn from a 1980 Nobel peace laureate this weekend.

Adolfo Perez Esquivel of Argentina will lead a PeaceJam Youth Conference at El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe, based on the theme "Human Rights and Justice for All" Saturday and Sunday.

PeaceJam is an international education program that hooks up leading Nobel peace laureates with young people interested in working toward peace. The goal is to inspire a new generation of peacemakers.

Local PeaceJam students have been studying Esquivel, who worked for peace in his country in the '70s and now runs a philanthropic foundation, Service for Peace and Justice, which promotes peace and human rights around the world. …
