Expert Links Gun To Crime Scene.

GRANTS A gun linked to murder suspect Jeffrey Taylor was fired at a site off of 10th Street in Rio Rancho where blood matching Nancy Noren's DNA also was found, expert witnesses said Thursday.

Noren's skeletal remains were found on a mesa about 8.5 miles northwest of Rio Rancho on Sept. 30, 1998. She was last seen alive July 17, 1998, police have said.

Firearm expert Steve Guerra and forensic scientist Laura Galbraith each testified Thursday for the prosecution during Taylor's first-degree murder trial in Grants.

Taylor, 25, also is charged with one count each of kidnapping and armed robbery and two counts each of aggravated battery, larceny, residential burglary and criminal damage to property in connection with Noren's death. …
