Center Ceiling Still Drips.

The ceiling continued to drip water this week at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center, where the construction warranty expires later this month.

The volume of dripping water picked up during a winter storm on Tuesday and Wednesday, when catch buckets and bilingual caution signs dotted the floor at the city recreation hall, which houses a weight room, dance floor, indoor track, Olympic-size swimming pool and water slides.

The end of the warranty period will not affect the general contractor's obligation to repair the ceiling, according to Frank Archuleta, the community center project manager at the city of Santa Fe Capital Improvements Program. …
