A lot can be said for building the self-esteem of our children.

Although some so-called experts have begun to assert that too much empty praise can actually be bad for kids, no one is likely to argue that saying kind words to kids doesn't have its merits. Especially when compared to the alternative.

That's why a local television ad that has been running for the last month or so got under the skin of one of our readers.
