AMREP Plans Park, Sewer Upgrades in Enchanted Hills Subdivision.

AMREP Southwest Inc. will build a park in its new 115-lot subdivision in Enchanted Hills and will help pay for sewer line improvements to the area.

AMREP will eventually give the five-acre park in the subdivision at Enchanted Hills and Sprint boulevards to the city, and will spend about $300,000 to help construct a new sewer line to the area, said Louie Maldonado, AMREP's project manager.

The Rio Rancho Planning and Zoning Commission on Tuesday approved the final plat for the subdivision.

The park is being built by AMREP, but home-building companies will construct houses at the site, Maldonado said.

The park is being built at the request of the Enchanted Hills Homeowners Association, said Cliff Spirok, chief executive officer for Community Sciences Corp. …
