Suspect Detained Outside Restaurant

TAOS A Taos postal employee dining at El Pueblo Cafe tackled and helped capture a man police said had just ripped off the restaurant's money drawer.

The slightly built "David," 5-foot-3, 135-pound Edwin Concha of Taos Pueblo wrestled with the hefty "Goliath," identified by Taos Police as 6-foot-3, 210-pound Mark Gallegos of Ranchos de Taos, for several minutes until police came to the rescue.

The alleged would-be robber also had a 24-year age advantage over his tackler. Gallegos, a construction worker, is 28, Concha is 52.
