State Takes Charge Of Another Cocaine Baby.

For the second time in less than a month, a baby born at St. Vincent Hospital tested positive for cocaine, Santa Fe police said.

The infant, who was born Sunday, was placed in the custody of the state's Children, Youth and Families Department on Tuesday, Police Deputy Chief Beverly Lennen said.

"The child will be placed in foster care," she said. The baby's sex was not specified in a police report.

The baby's mother, Carmen Morales of the 1300 block of Maez Road in Santa Fe, is under investigation by local police and the Children, Youth and Families Department, Lennen said, adding that no one has been charged or arrested. …
