Coyote Issue May Go to Committee.

The fate of coyotes in Corrales may be decided by a yet-to-be established "coyote committee."

The Corrales Village Council will vote tonight on a draft resolution to create the committee that would "establish a coyote management policy."

After 18 complaints in December from residents who said their pets and livestock were being killed by coyotes, Corrales Animal Control and Department of Agriculture officials started trapping and euthanizing coyotes.

As of Monday afternoon, two coyotes in Corrales had been killed by village animal control and the federal Department of Agriculture Services formerly Animal Damage Control according to Pam George, the village's senior animal control officer. …
