Groups Push Their Fixes to Water Crisis.

The city of Santa Fe will open bids Tuesday on a contract to review all the alternatives for increasing its water supply, utilities division director Dennis Gee said Sunday.

Gee and representatives of groups urging speedy action to resolve the city's water problems made their pitches to about 100 people attending a forum sponsored by the Old Santa Fe Association.

Gee told the group the utilities division issued a request for proposals to try to determine the best alternative for delivering more water to the City Different, which has had emergency restrictions in place since the summer. They will be opened Tuesday, he said. …
