Crowd of 4,000 Sees New Mexico Top Stuff

The New Mexico Slam were hitting on two cylinders, one at a time, Saturday night.

Two were enough.

The Slam beat the Cincinnati Stuff 99-92 in an International Basketball League game at the Albuquerque Convention Center in front of the biggest crowd of the season at 4,405.

Keith Carter carried the load for New Mexico in the first half, scoring 20 points, while Bryant Notree scored one. In the second half, the two reversed roles, as Notree scored 20 points and Carter three.

The win was the fourth in the last five games for the Slam, who evened their season record at 8-8. …
