Joyful New Mexicans in Washington Celebrate 'Great Day'.

WASHINGTON Several hundred New Mexico Republicans endured a chilly Washington drizzle Saturday to witness history as President Bush was sworn into office.

The inauguration ceremony was the centerpiece of a four-day celebration for New Mexicans and others who traveled to the nation's Capitol to participate in the festivities.

Rep. Joe Skeen, R-N.M., and Sen. Pete Domenici, R-N.M., opened their Capitol Hill offices to New Mexicans early Saturday morning before the main event. As Skeen's guests sipped coffee and munched on bagels, some conversations centered on which New Mexicans might land a job in the Bush White House. …
