SANTA FE A federal jury in Albuquerque awarded former state Treasurer David King $238,000 in compensation and punitive damages from his dismissal in 1999 from the post of Angel Fire village administrator, his attorney said Friday.

The eight-person civil jury awarded King $188,000 in damages resulting from the loss of his post plus another $50,000 to be paid by former Mayor Barbara Cottam and Village Councilors Richard Hill and Eugene Erb. …
