Projects Suggested For Ballot Listing.(Metropolitan)


A city panel on Thursday recommended a plan to put $130 million in projects on the ballot this year.

The projects part of the city's General Obligation Bond Program would go before voters Oct. 2.

The city's Environmental Planning Commission agreed Thursday to forward the proposed bond program to Mayor Jim Baca.

The next step is for the mayor to review it and send it to the City Council for consideration, said Pat Montoya, a Capital Implementation Program official.

The program earmarks money mostly for existing projects, he said. About $39 million is for street improvements, $6.5 million for transit and $14 million for parks and open space. …
