* Science and art combined to produce stunning images on display at New Mexico Museum of Natural History

A new exhibit at the Natural History Museum will give an up-close look at what remains of ancient dinosaurs and plants.

"Ancient Microworlds," an exhibit of color photographs of fossils by Norman Barker and Dr. Giraud Foster, opens Saturday at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science in Albuquerque.

The exhibit, which features more than 40 large-format photographs, will be on display in the museum's East Gallery through April 8.

Barker, an assistant professor of pathology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Foster, a physician and biochemist, have developed innovative high-magnification photographic techniques that make their stunning images of fossils unique. …
