One-man orchestra plays wide array of instruments.


Todd Green needs a few more arms and hands. He plays so many instruments that he has to hurry to get each one into his show.

He performs Jan. 26 at the South Broadway Cultural Center.

Green makes his light-hearted explanations about the instruments and the music a fun part of his family-oriented program.

Green performs on familiar instruments such as the guitar and flute. But he also can rip out a melody on the Middle Eastern oud or the yali tambur. He has mastered the South American charango and zamponia as well as the East Indian tabla drums. He has even rebuilt a classical guitar with two finger-board necks forming what he calls the "guitaranga-da gamba. …
