Garduno's puts a steak-and-seafood deck at balloon park and closes YesterDave's

Garduno's has unveiled plans for a massive two-story golf course restaurant, lounge and banquet facility at Balloon Fiesta Park that will be called Garduno's on the Green.

The 8,000-square-foot restaurant with a 10,000-square-foot deck marks a departure for the chain, as it will not center on Southwestern cuisine.

It will cater to the golf crowd, serving sandwiches, pasta, steak and seafood, plus a limited menu of New Mexican specialties.

"It will be a great place for businessmen to eat lunch and hit a bucket of balls; or for nice dinners in the evening on the deck," said John Johnstone, president of Garduno's Restaurants. …
