* Capital's Mirabal can lay claim to the title of city's best basketball player

With more than half of the current prep basketball season already in the books, one player has emerged as the best boys player in the city of Santa Fe.

And considering he's only a junior, he will likely stay that way for quite some time. Meet Capital High School forward Terence Mirabal, the most gifted player in town.

Standing 6 feet 3 inches tall, he has taken his place atop the basketball mountain in the City Different with impressive statistics on the court and a mature demeanor off it.

Averaging 19 points and better than seven rebounds per game, Mirabal has emerged as one of the top players in this end of the state. Yet, to find the true reason for his success, one must look past the score sheet, because the stats don't tell the complete story.
