State Staffer Will Work on SF Plan

Santa Fe's ongoing efforts to remedy its water shortage will soon get state-level help.

Mayor Larry Delgado announced Thursday that the Interstate Stream Commission will aid Santa Fe city and county governments in bringing new water sources to the urban area. Although details weren't finalized, the cooperative effort was touted as speeding up plans to pipe to the city an additional 5,600 acre-feet of water that Santa Fe leases annually for $250,000.
