Suspect Testifies He Knew Nothing of Drug Deal.

An accused drug dealer testified Wednesday that he did not know about a prearranged drug buy with a confidential informant in Bernalillo that resulted in his arrest.

Basilio Rojo-Alderet, 28, of Albuquerque, is accused of trying to sell about $500 worth of crack cocaine to the informant in an October 1999 drug bust in Bernalillo.

A Sandoval County grand jury indicted Rojo-Alderet in November 1999 on charges of drug trafficking by possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to commit drug trafficking, according to the indictment.

A statement of probable cause for Rojo-Alderet's arrest says he was a passenger in his own Camaro that was driven by another person and that delivered crack cocaine to the confidential informant. …
