Alleged Meth Lab Shut; Five Charged.(Metropolitan)

Acting on an anonymous tip that drugs were being sold out of a North Valley home, police shut down a major methamphetamine lab Wednesday afternoon, said Sgt. David Chester of the Albuquerque Police Department's central narcotics unit.

In a bedroom of the residence, located in the 300 block of Homeland NW, police found the ingredients all of which are highly flammable and equipment for making the drug. Also in the house, they found what they believed to be finished product, although Chester said that they wouldn't know for sure if it was meth until is had been analyzed by an APD chemist. A stolen Dodge minivan was found on the premises. …
