Neighborhood May Get Humps To Slow Speeders.

Legislative funds may be used to slow down motorists who drive too fast in state Rep. Ron Godbey's Forest Park neighborhood in Cedar Crest.

Godbey, R-Albuquerque, said he will try to get funding to install speed humps on Forest Park Road, the main road in the Forest Park subdivision. In a phone interview from Santa Fe on Tuesday, Godbey said he will try to get $15,000 for the humps, but that not all the money would be used in Forest Park.

"Some would be for the Forest Park area and some would be for other areas," Godbey said.

He said the humps cost about $1,500 each and that Forest Park would probably get five humps. …
