Country legend thrives on the touring circuit.

Roy Clark's wife burned out on touring back in 1959, but the man many call the best guitar and banjo picker ever still loves to hit the road.

With frequent tour dates and stints at his club in Branson, Mo., Clark doesn't spend much time at home in Tulsa, Okla.

In fact, at age 67, the country legend is touring just about as much as he ever did. That's a lot, but that's OK, said Clark in a recent telephone interview from home.

"I've never been any place wishing I was somewhere else. I enjoy all of it. Every time I'm on tour it's like reading the Bible every time I do it I enjoy it and get something different out of it. …
