Atomic museum receives $200,000.(Corporate Giving)

The National Atomic Museum has received $200,000 from Lockheed Martin and Sandia National Laboratories to fund the first two years of a new science and technology outreach van program.

The van will take interactive science and learning opportunities to rural New Mexico children with the intent to let children explore a fun, interesting learning environment and encourage them to pursue further study.

Equipped with computers, the van's curriculum will include programs about science history, the science of flight, how rockets work, radiation and the environment as well as teacher-training. …
