Puesta del Sol janitor delights staff and students by passing his citizenship test on the first try

Puesta del Sol Elementary School janitor Armando Urrutia passed a citizenship exam Wednesday that allows him to become a naturalized American.

As he entered the school's administrative offices in northern Rio Rancho before starting his afternoon shift cleaning classrooms and bathrooms, he was met with cheers from the entire staff including Principal Connie Chene for passing the test.

"I feel fabulous," said Urrutia, 50. "I know some people, they try three or four times" to pass the test.

Urrutia said he left Ciudad Juarez in 1985 with a green card to seek a better life in the United States. …
