Ex-Teacher's Plea Deal On Hold in Molestation Case.

A report on whether a Maine man accused of molesting two Belen High School students is likely to re-offend must be completed before a plea agreement in the case can be finalized, a judge ruled this week.

Ken Lingad, 29, appeared in front of 13th Judicial District Judge John Pope on Monday morning and pleaded not guilty to three counts of criminal sexual contact with a minor and one count of criminal sexual penetration.

The crimes fall under a law that involves a position of authority. Lingad was a volunteer music instructor for a short time late last spring when the alleged crimes occurred, according to his attorney, Robert Aragon of Albuquerque. …
