St. Mike's Pitcher Comes Back in a Big Way.(Sports)

You'd never know it to look at him, but the right arm on Robbie Gallegos' 17-year old body hangs slightly lower than his left these days.

It's the only visible remnant of a horrific sports-related accident, one of the worst many of his friends and family had ever seen.

"I can still hear the crack," said St. Michael's baseball player Kyle Schnitger, a senior for the Horsemen who was behind the plate the day Gallegos's right arm snapped in three places while delivering a pitch.

"You could hear it all the way in the outfield," recalled teammate Chris Varela, who was also on the field that day.

The incident occurred during a summer league game two years ago when Gallegos was between his freshman and sophomore seasons. …
