Residents Opposed To Manufactured Homes

Plans for a manufactured housing development that had drawn opposition from many North Hills residents have been withdrawn.

"It was a variety of factors kind of colliding," said Roger Sefzik, president of 21 Housing Corp., which was making plans for a development of about 300 manufactured homes to be called Northern View.

"We have concerns about the economy; the timing wasn't right, right now. We're going to focus on different development right now," Sefzik said.

21 Housing, a division of Centex Corp., had asked the commission to change the zoning there from residential to special use to allow it to put in up to 300 manufactured homes on small lots on 53 acres. …
