Former Fire Station To Provide Information

The Corrales Police Department will dedicate its new community policing center at the former village fire station during an open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

The department's new "Advancing Community Policing Resource Center" will serve as a resource to residents who want to learn about community policing, Police Chief Mike Tarter said Friday.

Videos, books and pamphlets on law enforcement issues covering everything from drug abuse to missing and exploited children will be available at the center, Tarter said.

Tarter said he hopes residents take advantage of the center to educate themselves about law enforcement issues. …
