Rebbe's Orkestra plays well-traveled music.

Klezmer tunes, Middle Eastern instrumental pieces, some Sephardic music and Yiddish theater songs will spice up a concert Saturday by The Rebbe's Orkestra.

Geographically, the music on the program ranges from Turkey, the Balkans, Russia, Eastern Europe and Spain to the United States.

The United States is represented in a medley in the second set when the ensemble will play the Yiddish song "Die Greene Koseene," and then do a version of it in English, translated as "The Little Cousin," as recorded by Peggy Lee with the Benny Goodman Orchestra.

"As Jews have traveled they have influenced and were influenced by the music where they have lived," said Beth Cohen, who is featured on violin, mandolin, tenor banjo and vocals. …
