Bands unite to benefit musician.


Five acts will play Sunday, March 25, at a benefit for local musician Daryl Davidson, who was seriously injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver behind Cowboy's nightclub on Dec. 16.

Davidson, a steel guitar player, has been performing since the age of 10 and has appeared with such artists as Bob Wills, Tom T. Hall and Hank Thompson.

The event kicks off at 4:30 p.m. at Boot Scoots, 12000 Candelaria NE. The bands performing throughout the evening will be Shot of Gold, Roamin Wild, Westwind, The Brand Name Band and Michael Herne of South by Southwest. …
