School's juggling club lets kids indulge their love for tossing objects

If Sir Isaac Newton had a child, he might have figured out his gravitational theory a lot sooner. Children constantly test Newton's theory that what goes up must come down. Anything will do balls of all shapes and sizes, rocks, rolled-up socks or toys. Any parent who has retrieved a ball from the roof knows the truth.

One parent of a Route 66 Elementary School student, though, is trying to bring some control to the chaos of flying objects.

Jeff Smith, who volunteers at the school once a week, came up with the idea of teaching one of his unusual skills to the youngsters at Route 66 Elementary. …
