Ousted Chairman Says He May Run

TAOS A split in the ranks of the Taos Democratic Party that led to the ouster last year of longtime Democratic Party Chairman Frank "Skitt" Trujillo may be replayed when new precinct elections are held April 4.

Trujillo announced Tuesday he is considering another run for the chairmanship.

"All my supporters are going to be there (at the new elections) and they have been urging me to run again," he said Tuesday. "My supporters are ready to take back the precincts and have urged me to run for chairman," Trujillo said. "We'll have to wait and see what happens."

Fabi Romero, party vice chairwoman, reported to a Democratic Party meeting Monday that Taos Democratic Party Chairman Rick Martinez was stepping down due to illness. …
