Ed Miller was a respected Albuquerque businessman who was known for his fairness and integrity, friends said.

Miller, whose Miller Metal Co. became one of the state's largest heating, ventilating and air conditioning businesses, died Friday of pneumonia. He was 78.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course NW, with a reception to follow.

Keith Wilson, who took over the metal business after Miller retired in 1989, said his mentor was respected by all because of his dedication to hard work. …
