Council OKs Helicopter Ambulance Move to Airport.(Journal North)

A conceptual plan to move New Mexico Life Rescue, northern New Mexico's helicopter ambulance service, to Santa Fe's airport received the City Council's nod of approval Wednesday.

The plan to lease 4 acres of airport property to the air ambulance company was unanimously approved, with Councilors Miguel Chavez, David Coss and Matthew Ortiz abstaining.

Chavez and Coss represent District 3, the district the airport borders.

While the plan got the council approval, the lease that defines the agreement between airport management and New Mexico Life Flight still needs the approval of various council committees and the council itself. …
