"Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" abandons all of the philosophical aspects of its predecessors and replaces them with lengthy action sequences that get old 12 minutes in.

"T3" seems utterly unconcerned with the implications of computers becoming smarter than their creators or the effects of time travel on the future. This film was not directed by James Cameron of the first two "Terminators," but by Jonathan Mostow. Perhaps Mostow thought these themes had been exhausted by now, but if that's the case, why even attempt to make a "T3"? Probably because of the guaranteed millions to be generated by loyal "Terminator" fans whose thirst for another installment has gone unquenched for 10 years. …
