Isotopes' Losing Streak Now at 4

The Albuquerque Isotopes limped into their biggest game of the Pacific Coast League season on a streak they'd like to forget.

With a record crowd of more than 13,000 expected Thursday night, the Isotopes carried a four-game losing streak after falling to the Omaha Royals 11-8 on Wednesday night. Many in the crowd of 5,474 stayed to the end of the game, which lasted 3 hours, 38 minutes.

To commemorate the day-early Independence Day celebration, the always-popular fireworks show was held after Thursday's game. But to start it, maybe Albuquerque's pitching staff should have dressed in Continental Army uniforms. …
